Michael’s work as an actor includes the Public Theater, Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey, Portland Stage Company, Hangar Theater, Hippodrome, and multiple seasons with the Utah Shakespeare Festival.

Favorite roles include the title role of Hamlet, Hally in Master Harold and the Boys, and multiple collaborations with the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards. As a company member with Brooklyn based Theater Mitu, he has performed at NYTW, Rattlestick, Z Space, MITU580, as well as internationally including Egypt, Mexico, Lebanon, UAE, Bahrain, Mongolia, and Sarajevo.
